About the Chamber
What is the Chamber?
The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce is an independent, private, non-profit organization financed by its members to promote business and advocate on their behalf. It is not a government agency and is autonomous from the City of Flagstaff.
The Chamber is a community problem solver adding voice for reason, cooperation and constructive change. The Chamber promotes the Flagstaff community and its total economy, and strives to improve the quality of life for all Flagstaff citizens. Membership in the Chamber is an investment in your business development and the economic health of Flagstaff.
Chamber Mission
The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce will serve our community by informing and involving the Flagstaff business community and advocating on their behalf. The Chamber will provide pro-active, responsible leadership, recognizing the interests of the business community, Flagstaff residents and the environment.
Chamber Facts
Founded
The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1891 as the Board of Trade, a non-profit, member organization. It was incorporated as an official “Chamber of Commerce” in 1949. The building where the Chamber stands today was erected in 1952.
