The Chamber Provides Networking Opportunities

Members tell us one of the most valuable benefits of membership is networking. Morning, noon and night, the Chamber provides venues to gather business referrals, make new contacts and increase business name awareness.

Each month, we hold the after-hours Evening Mixer at the business of a Chamber member. Quarterly, we hold Good Morning Flagstaff, a facilitated networking event based on the “speed dating concept.” Also, our Women in Business luncheon series features guest speakers who discuss topics such as marketing, investment strategies, and sales techniques.

The Chamber Promotes Business & Community

Much of Flagstaff’s economic vitality is linked to the multitude of natural, scientific and cultural attractions which bring thousands of visitors to the city. The Chamber is active in promoting events that draw even more tourists, and their dollars, to our local businesses.

Among the special events the Chamber organizes to showcase our city are: the annual 4th of July and Northern Holiday Lights parades; the annual ATHENA Awards to honor women in business; Winterfest, held throughout February, to promote winter tourism; and numerous publications that promote Flagstaff and our local businesses.

BizPac logoThe Chamber Influences Political Action

The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, in keeping with most chambers nationwide, has become more politically active in the past few years. In 2005, it established a political action committee – BizPAC – for the purpose of supporting business-friendly candidates and initiatives. BizPAC does not use any membership dues or event fees to pay for its advocacy.
