The Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce proudly joins the community in celebrating Native American Heritage Month this November. This month holds special significance for northern Arizona, where we have the privilege of living and working alongside vibrant Native American communities, including the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Havasupai, and Hualapai Nations. Their history, culture, and ongoing contributions form the heart of our region, enriching every aspect of life in northern Arizona.

Northern Arizona’s deep-rooted connections with Indigenous cultures create a unique opportunity to honor the impact of these communities. From the artistry and language to the customs preserved by tribal nations, Native American Heritage Month allows us to recognize and celebrate the many ways these traditions shape our shared identity. Throughout November, we are proud to support and encourage participation in local events that highlight Native American culture, including educational workshops, art exhibits, and cultural performances. These gatherings allow us to come together in appreciation of Native art, music, dance, and storytelling while deepening our understanding of key issues like environmental stewardship, language preservation, and economic development.
