Transportation to and around Flagstaff is available in a multitude of ways. Flagstaff Pulliam Airport provides direct service to Phoenix Sky Harbor and will provide direct flights to LAX and DFW starting in the spring. Locals take advantage of the hybrid/electric bus system that provides service to the entire city. Active residents and visitors use the extensive and expanding Flagstaff Urban Trail System. The FUTS offers over 50 miles of finished trails in and around Flagstaff.

See below for more details on how to get around our mountain town.

Bus Travel

Mountain Line, a division of NAIPTA, offers a variety of passes, ranging from a single day, to a month, semester or entire calendar year. Depending on the type of pass, it can be purchased on the bus, online, in the Mountain Line office or at an auxiliary location. When purchasing a pass on the bus, please remember that only cash is accepted and drivers cannot make change. Just have your exact fare ready when you board the bus, and you’ll be off and riding!

Bike and Foot Travel

The Flagstaff Urban Trails System (FUTS, pronounced ‘foots’), is a city-wide network of non-motorized, shared-use pathways that are used by bicyclists, walkers, hikers and runners for both recreation and transportation.

At present there are just over 50 miles of FUTS trails in Flagstaff. The overall master plan shows about 80 miles of future trails, to complete a planned system of 130 miles.
